Matthew (10.16 to 23):
At that time, Jesus told his apostles: "Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves; therefore, shrewd as serpents and harmless as doves. But do not Trust ye people, they will deliver to the courts, will scourge in the synagogues and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake; so you are witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.
